attack of the MyVi
a few weeks ago, i was walking home from the bus stop when i saw something small on the metal steps of the metal pedestrian walk. at that time, i did not know that there have been postcards going around with the new perodua car to be made into models at that time. so, at night, the little car that was on the steps looked a tad creepy. it only looks bright cos of the flash. i was under the impression that it was some sort of remembrance thingie. or one of those things you get from chinese prayer shops...where you burn paper versions of earthly possessions.

even at that time, even not knowing what it really was, i took pictures anyway. it was pretty surreal.

one thing's for sure, the MyVi will always be known as the hungry ghost car to me now.

gah-ness
CHUNTED!!!!

this blog is more than one year old already!!!!

someone pop the champagne and pass the pavlova.

Randomness

Exactitudes: a contraction of exact and attitude. By registering their subjects in an identical framework, with similar poses and a strictly observed dress code, Versluis and Uyttenbroek provide an almost scientific, anthropological record of people's attempts to distinguish themselves from others by assuming a group identity. The apparent contradiction between individuality and uniformity is, however, taken to such extremes in their arresting objective-looking photographic viewpoint and stylistic analysis that the artistic aspect clearly dominates the purely documentary element.

recital redux
fwoooh. whatta long day. bloody rm10 for a cab to taman paramount lrt station from subang grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.!@#$@#%!$%

dern it man, auditioned for a production of green tea. got too see sedaya. it be red, white and big. TOA feels so cottage industry hahaha.

then flied to ACTS school. i still can't recall how to get there. i just know vaguely that it's behind securities commision somewhere.

recital time: almost like ykls family reunion, hehehe. farewells too. regina, tyler, annette, all have to go soon. *sigh

but on to other things. CS lewis once said that making up your mind about something is always a cheering things, no matter what the decision was. i'm finding that true. you see, i finally managed to talk to and settle my situation with the production of M!Opera. my current course at The one academy and the rehearsal and commitment demands clash like flamingo pink on swamp green. it was decided it would be best to leave the cast as my missing rehersals and not being able to concentrate well, on my college(graduating year) and the show at the same time is not a desirable situation.

it was a wonderful experience being able to be part of the production for that short time. i wish the best of luck to my fellow cast and crew members and great sucess in the future production! who knows maybe i'll try out again if the show goes to tour after i graduate haha.

but on to the future!

KLPAC-ed
wow what a day.

after unnaturally going to bed around 12.30 the night before, i awoke out of strenght of habit after 7 hours of sleep. thus, i awoke at 7 ish am. waaaaay too early, when ryonn was supposed to pick me up. oh well, so i lay in bed listening to patrick stewart reading out "the last battle" by CS Lewis to me. i roll out soon after and attempt to rid myself of the sleep deprived zombie feeling.

damn, need to water plants, i remember in the shower, but then i look out, and lo and behold! it is raining! fate smiles on me today.

so we leave for genting, in the car was annette, mei yee, and ian, with ryonn driving. had a bite of dim sum, and off we went to genting to catch oliver. turns out karak was jammed, so we took the scenic route and saw a really pretty lake.

sampai genting, and felt like a sardine. it was a triple combo killer. public holiday, weekend, and school holiday. the lobby of first world hotel looked like a refugee camp, with little groups of people huddling together, waiting to be checked in. it was pretty ridiculous, why do we malaysians tolerate this type of treatment as paying customers?

anyway, show was at 1.30, we were at the theatre at around 1.15. express lunch man.

oliver oliver oliver. the show was fun, but the SOUND! gosh, it was so unbalanced, at most times the sound was really loud and harsh, and really detracted from enjoying the music, it made it sound like they just wanted volume, and not quality. if they improved on that, i think the show wouldn've been SOOOOOoooOOooo much better.

after show, we wandered around and the otehrs wanted a bite, so we were at one of the overpriced food stores. this time, a nasi kandar place. the food wasn't bad, but RM6 FOR A PIECE OF FRIED CHICKEN?! and also RM3 FOR A MILO AIS?! i wasn't even hungry but i lost my appetite.

coming down we dropped off ian back at KLPAC to get his car, managed to get a guided tour in and about the new place, while we ran into nala. it's so exciting wandering around that place, it's the combination of a lot of glass, light, grass, trees, rolling hills, running water, and the feeling of space all around, you get really excited at all the possibilities. so excited in fact, that we we're frolicking around the park area and all over the place, oblivious to whoever was there.

having nothing else to do, we all decided to catch
Somewhere in the middle

Somewhere in the Middle: Sat 4 & Sun 5, Jun 2005 (Sat: 8.30 pm; Sun: 3 pm). By the Compagnie Moglice Von-Verx, a theatrical trapeze performance combining dance, poetry, music, and swinging acrobats. At the KL PAC.

it was a really artsy performance, almost like trying to understand a work of abstract art. you could fall into the trap of overanalysis.

and that was my day. not bad for a saturday.

and tommorow looks like another long day. day day day. daa daa.
