recently i've discovered that i really like campbells tomato soup. especially if it's made with one can of milk instead of one can of water. mmmmmmm
ever since i started reading Yakitate! Japan, my interest in bread has had yeast added to it, and is now expanding. but sadly, all experiences with gourmet or quality bread has been limited to the occasional hotel dining occasion.
delifrance and carrefour baguets are not bad, but there's still something lacking. bread story and bread talk and rotiboy? it's mostly lots of butter bread or repackaged white bread with spangles added. they all have their tasty numbers, true, but nothing really tastebud shattering.(in my limited experiences with their baked combustibles so far that is.)
but then...i had my SUN MOULIN experience. it's got that japanese refined quality to its products, but with competitive local prices. as in about in average RM2 a pastry.(which is loverly considering the quality)
there was this amazing thing called a strawbery ommelette. don't let the name deceive you, it's actually a thin clice of the softest sponge cake rolled up with a fresh strawberries and cream filling. YUM. they also had the best tastng croissant i have had in a long time. it's light and crunchy on the outside, and fluffy and buttery on the inside, best part was that it didn't collapse when you bit into it, the thing just melts in our mouth as you sink your teeth in. if only i had some coffee when i was in the car munching on it.
am definitely gonna buy more when i go there again. and the cakes look so inviting. hopefully the rest of their goods taste this good as well, cos they've got a wonderful variety of special breads that are pig out worthy.
i swear i'm not being paid by them, tho if they do see this post i hope i get free samples. ohohohoh.
ach, the "holidays" are here. shit one week has already flown by. why am i not having the time of my life after going thru the time of my near-death pass me by?! hehehe
but it's been a whirlwind week. sang at sheraton subang. in swedish, and estonian, and a good dose of "ding dili". the organizers knew more about the songs than we did. malunyer.
i got into the mah jong groove at queenbabi's place, and happy bday to zebrabi. i finally realised how uneducated i am in the recreational habits inherent to my culture. but...it's probably in my blood, i'm enjoying it more and more. can't wait to play again. maybe cos i had help and so called beginner's luck, winning 2 out of the 3 rounds i played. i think. had carrot milk instead of teh ais. my brain tak boleh tahan.
and, for some reason, i've been waking up with the right side of my head experienceing a lingering dull pain. it's been that way for the better part of this week. it's either my head's been getting heavier(with lead i suppose, not actual brain matter), or someone's been sitting on my head before i wake up.
