Pics of my aunts uncles and cousins and grandma and nephew and food that went so fast i only got time to take photo of empty bowl. got small small pic of my bro and sis in law at bottom part also hehehe.
this year had the traditional "stuffyourselfwithasmuchmeataspossiblebeforefirstdayofnewyearwhenyoucanonlyeatvegetarian" reunion dinner at my place with dad's side of family. we watched memoirs of a geisha and had durian cake and amarula cream liqour for dessert.
and i realised 5 out of six dishes that night had pork in it hehehe, lap cheong, stir fried arrowroot, roast pork, sea cucumber and mushrooms, steamed chicken, and sar kot. basically my mom makes the same stuff every year. i still love it. esp the pork.
and my aunts now know how much mah jong i play now. i have a feeling my ang pow earnings are gonna kena makan by my aunties, the way they said "wah got new kaki!" sounded like "waaah got new victim!"
and it's a sunday tml so i gotta wake up pretty early..... cheee b**iiii
PS. by the time i post this up will be HAPPY NEW YEAR ALREADY So...
early bday lunch @ kampachi's @ equatorial hotel KL
my birthday is ages from now but that's beside the point.
the point is to pig out at what is confirmed to be my family's official hangout. we visit this restaurant at least once a year for ANY special occasion. i swear, sometimes i think we all wilingly create special occasions as an excuse to visit this restaurant. it's been the only jap restaurant so far that's been consistent (the saturday special anyway ), every time we've been there.
the satuday special is almost like a buffet, as in you pay one sum and eat as much as you want/can. except that you order off a menu. so the food will always be freshly prepared, and with the good service and serve yourself appetizer table, you don't feel any real break between orders.
the pictures are just highlights : sashimi, beef teppanyaki, and green tea ice cream and mochi for dessert.
plan was to go up to genting on new year's eve, settle into the genting heights apartment, MAH JONG + hang out, then go up to genting resort, dinner, baskin n robbins, countdown, then enjoy....
