the question of mind
ok, i have realized to keep myself sane, i should stop being so self absorbed when at home/alone. i'm a danger to good taste and rationality. ;)

therein lies the blogger's dilemma. if you begin to write more often about others or things not relating to oneself, do you invite opportunities for danger? for if one remains self contained, the biggest risk is to oneself.

is self endangering more preferable to convincing a busload of tourists that the quickest route to that holiday paradise is actually off the side of a cliff?

but looking at how things are going, a self pitying and self indulgent blog is a flaw even in description. so to be more constructive in this line of recreational writing, do we continue to write for ourselves, or for the masses?

and at the end of the day, it probably boils down to the root of the things which is,

why do we write?

to be noticed?
to be free?
to be r e a d ?
to make a change?
to pass the humdrum minutes?
to entertain?

to those actually reading, i have passed into the blazing land of hypocrisy, by writing a self absorbed post about self absorbed writing.

hah!
